This is the second release in my loose Provenance series.

1. It continues on the only theme I can muster which is fragmentation.

2. At some level I'm trying to process what it means to generate a habit with these releases. Beyond that, too, I'm fiddling with the idea of what benefit any sort of habit might have as an insulation against some kind of fear of loss or forgetting or whatever. I've recently started trying to get in to the practice of keeping a regular-ass daily journal and that practice feels related to this one.

3. In secret, even partly from myself, for the past five years I've been trying to make some kind of full-length album and finally, finally, I got there not too long ago. Each track on this release bears some thematic or mechanical relationship to that album, but, in each case, I decided they didn't quite fit there. So instead they're here, and here they're acting as an announcement for that longer album. I've been working on it for almost 7 years and I will officially release it some time in the next few months.
